Police probe after smashed windows at Top Valley pub

Police are investigating after a number of windows were smashed at a Top Valley pub.

Officers were called at 10.33pm on Friday, July 26, to reports of damage to the St Albans pub, in Bewcastle Road.

A force spokesman said four windows had been smashed.

There were no reports of any injuries, he said, and there have been no arrests.

The Bestwood Cops Twitter account tweeted about the incident and described the case as an act of "mindless criminal damage".

The tweet featured a picture of what appears to be shards of glass on the floor and another displaying boarded up windows.

The pub declined to comment when contacted by Nottinghamshire Live.

Anyone with information that may help the investigation is asked to contact the force on 101, quoting incident 1148 of July 26.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
