Police probe after man, 49, collapses and dies outside Camden pub

A man was shot by armed police last night

Police are appealing after a man collapsed and died in unexplained circumstances in Camden.

The 49-year-old was found outside the Black Heart pub in Greenland Place just after 11pm on Friday, June 21.

He was rushed to hospital but died the following day.

Officers are now appealing for information and said they are keen to hear from any witnesses.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Detectives are appealing for information following the unexplained death of a man in Camden.

"Police were called at around 11.10pm on Friday, June 21, to reports of a man collapsed outside the Black Heart pub in Greenland Place, Camden.

"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he sadly died on Saturday, June 22.

"The man has been formally identified and his next of kin have been informed.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.

"Officers returned to the scene on Friday, June 28, as part of the ongoing investigation and remain keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the man’s collapse."
