Officers rushed to Anniesland railway station at 6.24pm yesterday following reports of a fight on-board a Scotrail service from Balloch.

One person was arrested on suspicion of a Breach of the Peace offence and has since been released while enquiries into the incident continue.

Three people received treatment for superficial injuries.

The incident occurred just days after a 16-year-old was left with serious head and arm injuries after a broad daylight attack in Balloch Park.

The assault happened at around 5.40pm on Tuesday June 29 next to the pier, with the victim rushed to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.

Detective Constable David Jamieson, of Dumbarton Police Office, said: “There were several groups of people around at the time of the incident and we would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened.

“If anyone has information, including mobile footage, that might help with our enquiries then please get in touch.”
