Police probe after 'creeper style burglary' in North Belfast

Detectives are investigating a reported 'creeper style burglary' in North Belfast.

The PSNI said they recieved a report around 6am on September 7 that entry was gained to a house in the Merryfield Drive area.

It has been reported that a sum of money, a Samsung Laptop, an iPad device and car keys for a grey Honda Jazz car were taken during the incident.

A police spokesperson said: "The car was taken from the property and later found locked at the Henderson Avenue area of north Belfast.

"The other items taken from the property are still missing at this time.

"A man and woman were inside the house at the time of the incident, but were not injured and no damage was reported to the property.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area should contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 408 07/09/20.
