A man critically injured in a suspicious house fire in Adelaide's north-west early on Wednesday has since died in hospital, with police indicating they are now preparing to charge the suspect with murder.

The 31-year-old victim was one of three people injured in the blaze, on Calendar Place at Woodville West, which broke out just before 4:00am.

SA Police launched a manhunt following the fire, which investigators believe was deliberately lit using an accelerant.

The suspect, a 32-year-old Woodville West man, was spotted at a car wash in West Wyalong in regional New South Wales on Wednesday evening.

After hitting a post on the Newell Highway near Parkes in a high-speed pursuit, he was arrested by NSW Police about 7:00pm on Wednesday evening.

The man was taken to Westmead Hospital in Sydney, where he remains in custody under police guard on a South Australian warrant for attempted murder,.

"Police continue to liaise with their NSW counterparts about extraditing the man back to South Australia."

The 31-year-old victim was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but "sadly, he died overnight", police said this morning.

Two women aged 27 and 28 were treated for minor injuries sustained during the blaze.

All of the individuals are known to one another, and the fire is not considered to have been a random attack.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
