Police plea for help to catch thoughtless flytippers in Perthshire

Fly tipping has been reported on several Perthshire roadsides this week and police officers are asking local residents to be vigilant for more of the same.

In Scone the community council put up a picture of a heap of rubble left at a field access on Murrayshall Road.

Elsewhere, police have heard about repeated dumps of waste on the back road between Pitcairngreen and Bankfoot in Perth.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “There have been a number of large tippings of waste at this location and it is suspected they have been illegally deposited.

“Community officers will work alongside Perth and Kinross Council to have the waste removed.

“However can locals please report any suspicious vehicles?

“Note the make, model, colour, registration and drivers if possible.”

Contact 101 to notify the police of any incidents or alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
