Police patrols stepped up in Falkirk area after spate of anti-social behaviour incidents

Police in an area of Falkirk are stepping up patrols from this week after a spate of anti-social behaviour incidents.

Officers will be out in force in Bonnybridge in the coming weeks as they tackle things like disorder and fire raising.

Their main focus will be the Toll, Duncan Stewart Memorial Park, Bonnyfield Nature Reserve and Seabeggs Wood areas.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "In the coming weeks, Bonnybridge Community officers will be conducting dedicated anti-social behaviour (ASB) patrols.

"This initiative has been set up to tackle reports of increased anti-social behaviour (ASB), including disorder and fire raising, taking place in these areas.

"The main aim of this initiative is to; disrupt, deter and reduce ASB, reassure the local community whilst improving the quality of life for local residents and people who visit these areas and create a safe environment for everyone.

"The Community officers will be working alongside our volunteer Special Constables and officers from Police Scotland’s mounted branch.

"Anyone who is experiencing ASB can contact Police on 101 or if the enquiry is non-urgent, you can contact the local ward officers; Constables Marc Stirling and Lynsey Scott at: bonnybridgelarbertcpt@scotland.pnn.police.uk"
