Police patrols stepped up in Falkirk amid rising anti social behaviour

Extra police patrols were undertaken in Falkirk last night following concerns of rising anti-social behaviour.

Dedicated officers were in the Bainsford and Langlees areas after numerous reports from members of the public in recent days.

The patrols have been receiving mixed reactions after the being posted on the force's Facebook and Twitter.

It comes as Chief Inspector Craig Walker replaced Chris Stewart in March when he began cracking down on the various incidents that had been occurring throughout the town.

Forth Valley Police said: Last night, in response to recent concerns regarding antisocial behaviour, officers from Falkirk Community Team were carrying out dedicated patrols within the Bainsford and Langlees areas."

Falkirk Council has also installed a new, mobile CCTV camera in in Stenhousemuir town centre "helping to prevent crime and keep people safe."
