Police, paramedics and fire crews called to crash outside pub in Wigan

There are currently road closure in place following a crash in Wigan.

Police were called to Wigan Road in the Aspull area following a collision at around 4.55pm on Tuesday (July 13).

The incident, involving two cars, happened outside the Colliers Arms pub.

Paramedics and fire crews are also at the scene.

There are no serious injuries, a spokesman for GMP confirmed, however Wigan Road has been closed in both directions.

Drivers are urged to find alternative route while road closures are in place.

Local bus services may also have been affected.

In a Tweet, Transport for Greater Manchester said: “B5238 #WiganRd - Aspull is CLOSED in both directions outside the Colliers Arms Pub due to an RTC.

“Local services may be on diversion, please check with your operator. Road users please seek an alternative route.”
