Police out with speed guns in Edinburgh ticket seven drivers

Seven drivers have been ticketed by police after officers clocked them speeding in the north west of Edinburgh.

Police officers were patrolling the B800 in the Kirkliston and South Queensferry area earlier today (July 5) with speed guns.

Officers were carrying out the speed checks after receiving complaints from local residents.

Seven drivers in total received tickets and a warning from the police.

Edinburgh Police North West tweeted: "In response to information from local residents we were out on the B800 with our speed gun.

"Turns out you were right...several tickets issued and drivers warned.

"Keep the information coming either through your local community team or anonymously through Crimestoppers Scotland".

You can contact police on 101. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
