Emergency services are searching the River Clyde in Glasgow after reports of a man's body in the water.
A search and rescue operation got underway at 7.20pm on Thursday evening.
A police helicopter was deployed over the George V bridge and a search boat was scouring the water.
Despite a search, the man has not been found.
A Police Scotland spokesperson was unable to give much detail on the nature of the operation.
"Officers are continuing enquiries to establish the man’s identity and are appealing for anyone who was on Glasgow Bridge or in that area around the time of the incident to contact them as they could provide vital information.
"It’s imperative officers discover who the man is in order to contact his family. Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Baird Street Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3625 of Thursday 6 June 2019."
