Police officers treated for smoke inhalation after suspicious fire in Banks

Three officers were treated for smoke inhalation after a Banks house fire that police think was deliberately lit.

ACT Policing said firefighters and police were called to a unit in Peron Place about 12.30am. The fire was put out.

"Three police officers were treated for smoke inhalation and released from hospital later this morning," police said in a statement.

"Following analysis of the scene, police and fire investigators believe the fire was deliberately lit."

Police ask anyone who may have seen the incident or has information about the fire, including CCTV footage or dash cam footage from around the area, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online, and quote reference 6479518.
