Police officers called to Harehills home arrive to find huge cannabis farm

Officers called to a home in Harehills arrived to find a huge cannabis farm.

West Yorkshire Police response officers from the East Leeds team had been called to the property in the Dorset area for an unrelated matter - but found a large number of cannabis plants in the house.

Police have released images of the cannabis farm and are now investigating.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Last week officers from the Gipton and Harehills Neighbourhood Policing Team assisted at an address in the Dorsets area of Harehills, where a cannabis farm had been located by East Leeds Response Officers.

“The cannabis farm was discovered by officers attending the location for an unrelated matter.

“The investigation regarding the production of cannabis is on-going at this time.”
