A man has been arrested after allegedly punching a police officer in the face while armed with a knife in south London.
Police said the suspect was detained at 9am on Thursday following the incident on the Aylesbury estate in Walworth.
The suspect returned to his address where he stayed for some time before being arrested by officers.
The officer sustained a face injury, police said.
No other injuries were reported and enquiries continue.
The suspect was taken to hospital for assessment.
