Police officer 'on the beat' as he takes to drums during coronation street party

A police officer was seen 'on the beat' - playing an impromptu drum set at a coronation street party. The uniformed copper played along with a local guitarist after arriving at the do in Theydon Bois, Essex.

Delighted residents cheered the display on Sunday evening (May 7) as millions celebrated King Charles' coronation across the UK. After the officer from Essex Police completed his 'set', he proudly said he was available for parties while putting his helmet back on.

One resident said: "A load of coppers turned up to our street party yesterday, then one of them started playing drums."
