Police are looking for a male driver following a hit-and-run at a roadside breath test at Mile End, in Adelaide's west, early on New Year's Day.
A male police officer at a breath test station had his foot run over by a Mazda sedan on Henley Beach Road about 1:00am.
Police said the man behind the wheel drove away in an attempt to avoid being tested.
The officer sustained minor leg injuries and was taken to hospital, but has since been released.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Dickson said police knew the registered owner, but it was not clear if that person was the driver.
"Overnight police have attended a number of addresses and conducted enquiries to locate the driver of the vehicle," Assistant Commissioner Dickson said.
"These enquiries will continue until both the vehicle and the driver are located.
"The driver of the Mazda sedan knows who he is and I would recommend you come forward as soon as possible to assist police in our investigations."
He also asked for any witnesses to come forward.
Police arrested 114 people overnight in Adelaide, reported 16 more and handed out 135 fines.
Assistant Commissioner Dickson said this was slightly higher than last year, which he attributed to the warmer weather.
Almost 6,000 alcohol breath tests were conducted, with 56 people returning a positive result for alcohol.
Of 360 drug tests, 26 people returned positive samples.
The highest blood-alcohol reading came from a 53-year-old Bridgewater man, who allegedly noticed a driver testing station on Mount Barker Road at Stirling at 9:00am and reversed down the off-ramp back onto the South Eastern Freeway.
Police tried to stop him on the freeway before he crashed into a guard rail on Carey Gully Road at Mount George.
He was taken to the Mount Barker police station and allegedly recorded a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.240.
A 20-year-old motorcyclist blew 0.186 about 6:00pm at Port Lincoln.
Police checks revealed the man also had never held a licence and was disqualified from driving.
The motorcycle was also unregistered and uninsured.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
