Sickening footage shows a police officer grabbing a colleague by the throat during an arrest - reportedly after she tried to stop him pepper-spraying a handcuffed suspect.
Body camera video shows Sergeant Christopher Pullease, 46, attacking a female officer, 28, who has not been named, outside a Shope & Save convenience shop on November 19 last year.
Everyone in the vile footage had their face blurred, except for Seargeant Pullease - a 21-year veteran of Sunrise police force.
Pullease, now under investigation, is accused of attacking the woman during an arrest of a man for aggravated battery after the suspect had hit people outside the store.
The shocking footage, released last week, showed Pullease walking up to the suspect as officers attempted to get him into the police car.
Pullease is alleged to have leaned into the car, pulled out his pepper spray and aimed it at the suspect as he spoke to him.
The female police officer is shown running over and grabbing Pullease by his belt to pull him away from the suspect.
The man then whips around and grabs hold of the female officer's neck, shoving her up against another patrol car, according to the footage.
Sunrise police have described the behaviour of Pullease as "disgusting".
Sunrise Police Chief Anthony Rosa released the video without any audio and has not revealed what was said between the victim and officer.
Mr Rosa said: "I find it to be inappropriate and unprofessional because what he did is he escalated the situation when calm was actually required."
He praised the female officer for stepping in, adding: "“I’m very proud of this police officer. She took some definitive action.
"I can only imagine what she must be feeling. She’s a newer officer, and he’s a very senior sergeant."
Sergeant Christopher Pullease has not been fired by the City of Sunrise Police Department in Florida - and instead has been ordered to do desk duties.
No charges have been filed against him.
