Police are investigating theft of an Aston Martin taken from a drive

Thieves broke into a Nottingham home and stole two high-value vehicles from the drive.

The victim's Range Rover and Aston Martin were stolen, along with watches and jewellery from the property.

Detective Sergeant James Bond, of Nottinghamshire Police, is calling on the public's help to solve the crime.

Police were called by a car owner just after 8.40pm on Thursday, December 5.

The victim was alerted by a vehicle tracker company that his lime green-coloured Aston Martin V8, which should have been at his home - on the A52 near to the Queen's Medical Centre - was on the move.

Officers attended the address and found that it had been broken into.

A short time after, police recovered both stolen vehicles which had been parked in the Beeston area.

Police are treating the crime as a car key burglary, where thieves break into a home with the specific aim of stealing the car off the drive.

DS Bond said: "Our enquiries are continuing and we're appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or any drivers who may have recorded dash-cam footage in the area at the time.

"If you have any information which could help us with our investigation please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 856 of 5 December 2019, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
