Police officer breaks a street dweller woman's cradle, but the ending will make you smile!

A police officer from Maharashtra is winning hearts with his thoughtful gesture to a street dweller. In the video making rounds on social media, the cop is seen replacing a young mother's cloth cradle with a brand-new cradle.

In the video, the officer dressed in his police uniform is seen walking to a street dweller woman and notices the cloth cradle. The cradle is made with an old cloth tied between two poles. The officer checks the cradle and breaks it. The woman rushes to him and pleads with him not to do it. But he leaves without saying a word.

Further, the officer comes back in some time holding a brand new cradle. He himself set up the cradle and laid the baby in it. The moment in the video where the police officer is carrying the baby and playing with the kiddo is too cute to be missed. While making the baby lie in the cradle, the officer also makes sure to cover the same so that the kiddo is free from pollution and mosquitoes. In the same video, the woman tends to touch the officer's feet, and he gracefully denies.

Sharing the video on the Instagram account, police officer Sushil Shikhare has also penned a note.

"Today, in society, one sentence is spoken very casually—' Police are people without humanity.'" But has anyone ever stopped to think that beneath the khaki uniform beats a living, breathing heart …? Every day, while returning home after duty, a sight would pierce the heart. On the footpath, an innocent baby kept in a wooden cradle… Mosquitoes biting, flies swarming, the baby crying continuously… The mother watches helplessly, because her situation doesn’t even allow her to afford a proper cradle. At that moment, there was no thought of being a police officer. Law, rules, the baton—everything was set aside. Only a human beingis awakened. First, he checked whether the baby was safe in the cradle and then broke that cradle to ensure the child’s safety. People may only see the baton, but behind that baton was compassion, care, and humanity. This video is not just about one incident; it carries a message—police officers are not made of stone… they understand pain too. If today you felt, even a little, that “maybe we are judging the police unfairly,” then please share this video… Because the man in the khaki uniform didn’t speak today, but his actions said more than words ever could," reads the English translation of the Marathi note.

Soon after the video is out, the comment box is full of admiration for the police officer.

'The hero we all need. We need more people with kindness in their hearts, 'reads one of the comments.

'The new generation of cops is quietly doing its work the right way,' reads another comment from a netizen.
