Police offer £20,000 reward in Queen’s Park murder appeal

Daneche Tison - (Met Police)

The Metropolitan Police has issued a fresh appeal and £20,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the killers of Daneche Tison, who was shot in Queen’s Park in 2022.

Mr Tison, 26, was shot through his heart outside a block of flats on Bruckner Street at around 2am on July 19.

Police arrived at the scene following reports of the shooting, but were unable to locate the victim or the suspect.

Mr Tison later presented at hospital with gunshot wounds through his heart, but sadly died.

The Met Police released images of the suspect and several men were arrested in connection with the shooting, but nobody has ever been charged.

At the inquest of Mr Tison’s death, coroner Dr Fiona Wilcox said three bullets had been fired by an unidentified man in a black car. Two of these bullets made contact with the victim, one landing in his heart and another to his back.

BBC’s Crimewatch Live will also air the case on Thursday as investigations surrounding the murder continue, almost four years on from Mr Tison’s death.

Detective Sergeant Andy Sheppard, from Specialist Crime South, said: "Our thoughts today remain with the victim's family and loved ones, who have had to live with the knowledge that Mr Tison's killer is still at large.

"Owing to the length of time which has elapsed, the Met has decided to offer a substantial financial reward for any information leading to the prosecution of the shooter - or anyone directly involved in the murder.

"This decision demonstrates the Met's commitment to solving every murder, and securing justice for all victims - no matter how long it takes."

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call 101, quoting 1119/19MAR. To remain anonymous, please contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
