Police: 'No-one hurt in road traffic collision but a stark reminder to slow down'

Northumbria traffic Police have released an image of a car horrifically damaged in a single vehicle collision in Blyth as a stark warning to speeding motorists.

Officers were amazed nobody was injured or worse after the car sped off the road after clearly travelling well over the speed limit.

The picture of the car wreckage shows doors snapped off, wheels wrenched off as well as a smashed front window and serves as a graphic illustration of the violent collision impact and the excessive speed the car must have been going at.

Northumbria Police tweeted at 10.50pm: "We’re currently dealing with this RTC in the #Blyth area. Thankfully nobody seriously hurt but a stark reminder to slow down #Fatal5"
