Police name woman who died after car crash in Nottinghamshire village

A woman who died following a crash in a Nottinghamshire village has been named.

Sharon Foote died on Wednesday, September 30 following the crash involving a car on the evening of September 25.

The incident happened in School Hill off Derby Road, in Annesley.

The 61 year old was taken to Queen's Medical Centre for treatment following the incident at around 7pm.

Her family has asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are working to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and are continuing to offer support to Sharon's family.

Investigation Officer Sophie Law of Nottinghamshire Police said: "If anyone saw what happened or has any dash-cam footage I'd encourage them to come forward."

Anyone with any information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 703 of 25 September 2020.
