Police name woman, 39, who died after her car went into River Trent

A woman who died after her car ended up in the River Trent has been named by police.

Emma Fegan, 39, who lived in Hoveringham, died after the single-vehicle incident.

Police had been called to Hoveringham Road at about 4pm on Tuesday, September 24, following reports of a car in the river. 

She died in hospital. Nobody else was in the car at the time.

Her family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with information - including anyone with dash cam footage - is asked to contact the force on 101, quoting incident 565 of September 24.
