Police have named a man they wish to speak to in connection with a stabbing in Westminster on Saturday that has left a man fighting for his life.

Officers want to trace 25-year-old Steven Woods, who lives in Westminster and is also known to frequent Camden.

The Metropolitan Police have said he should not be approached, but to call 999 and state the reference number “CAD 6533/11Jun”.

The appeal comes after police were called to Junction Mews, W2, shortly after 6.30pm on June 11 to reports of a group of people fighting with knives.

Officers attended the location and found a 28-year-old man with stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics from London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Two men, aged 26 and 18, have been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

A third man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, aged 21, is now in police custody following discharge from hospital.
