Police name man killed in Glenrothes road crash

Police have named a 25-year-old man who died after a serious road crash in Glenrothes.

Pedestrian William Fisher was struck by a car on Formonthills Road last Thursday at around 8.25pm.

The road was closed between Pitcoudie Roundabout and Ballingall Drive while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Fisher, from Glenrothes, was taken to hospital following the crash but police have confirmed he later died.

Sergeant Ewan Pearce said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Fisher’s family at this difficult time and our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

“Anyone with information or dash-cam footage that could assist who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact the Road Policing Unit in Glenrothes by calling 101, quoting incident 3532 of 6 February.”
