Police mocked after sharing e-fits of suspects wearing face masks

A police force have been mocked after releasing e-fits of two men wearing face masks.

Three men wearing face coverings over their mouths and noses allegedly burgled a property in Grimsby and assaulted the home owner on October 23.

The intruders broke into the property at about 10am, attacked a man inside and stole his phone and cash, police say.

The men, who were all of a heavy build, were also wearing black gloves during the "targeted attack".

Humberside Police has now released e-fits of two of the suspects wearing face coverings.

One was wearing a hi-vis vest and another a black jacket with a black flat cap, Grimsby Live reports.

Another was described as wearing distinctive black framed glasses with an accent that is not local to the area.

A Humberside Police spokesman said: "We would like to reassure the public that we believe this to be a targeted attack with no wider risk to the community.

"If you are able to ID either of these people or have any dash-cam footage from around the time and location, please call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 104 of 23 October.

"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers (the independent charity) on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous. You could claim a reward for the information you provide."
