Three men at the property were then arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and for possession with the intent to supply class A and B drugs.

The drugs were seized and the men were taken to custody for questioning.

Officers in Knowsley were taking part in Neighbourhood Policing Week when the discovery was made during a high visibility patrol.

Inspector Paul Makin said: "This recovery shows the importance of proactive policing and having increased patrols on the streets.

"I am pleased that a large amount of drugs have been removed from the distribution chain and I hope the public feel safer knowing these drugs aren’t being used in their communities."
