Police make second appeal for information about fatal road crash

Police in West Lothian have re-appealed for information on a fatal road crash.

The incident happened in Bathgate at around 4.30pm on Monday July 6 and involved three cars and two motorbikes on the A7066.

The driver of one of the cars, 37-year-old Fiona Reid from West Lothian, died as a result of injuries sustained from the crash.

Sergeant Paul Ewing, of Lothians Road Policing said: “It has now been three weeks since this crash happened are we are appealing to anyone that has any information surrounding the incident that has not yet come forward.

“In particular, we are looking to speak to two woman who were standing in the car park of a hardware store on the A7066 who may have witnessed the crash.

“We are also keen to speak to a cyclist who was wearing a short sleeved bright blue t-shirt, white helmet and a man wearing all black who was walking along the footpath towards where the crash took place.

“I would ask that if you are any of the people described or have any information relating to the crash to get in contact with officers.

“Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 2397 of Monday, July 6 2020.”
