Police have arrested a man after a delivery driver was found seriously injured in a street in Hamilton.
Officers received a report of a disturbance shortly before 1pm today, which led to a 45-year-old man being rushed to hospital.
Police have this evening confirmed a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident as they appeal for information.
"Police were called about 12.40pm on Tuesday, 19 May, 2020, to a report of a disturbance in Portland Place, Hamilton.
"A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this and enquiries are ongoing.
"Officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances.
"Anyone who witnessed this and has not yet spoken to officers is urged to contact police on 101 and quote incident 1481 of 19 May."
