Police 'lost for words' as woman drives BMW home after M6 crash

A woman tried to drive her smashed-up BMW car home following a crash on the M6.

A woman was stopped by Merseyside Police 's Roads Policing Unit after she tried to drive her smashed-up BMW home after a crash on the M6. The dangerous case was shared by the Roads Policing Unit on its official Twitter account.

The police said officers "were lost for words" after they stopped the car driving along Queens Drive. The Twitter post, shortly after 4.30am today, Tuesday, October 25, showed the extent of the damage to the front of the BMW.

The bonnet of the car had buckled up appearing to block the view from the front window. The front bumper also appears to be cracked and close to falling off. The car was recovered by the police officers and prohibited.

The full post read: "We were lost for words when we saw this being driven along Queens Drive. The driver had been in an RTC on the M6 and decided it was safe for her to continue her journey into Liverpool. She has been reported and the vehicle was recovered and prohibited."
