Police looking for missing teenage girl believed to have caught train to Manchester

Police are searching for a teenage girl who has gone missing from her home in Birmingham and is believed to have taken a train to Manchester.

Sixteen-year-old Dani went missing from Winson Green on Thursday (September 8). West Midlands Police said it would be asking Manchester Police for assistance as concern mounts for the young girl, who has been missing for five days.

In an appeal issued on Tuesday (September 13), West Midlands Police said: “We’re still searching for Dani. The 16-year-old has gone missing from her home in Winson Green, Birmingham.

"We now believe Dani got on a train to Manchester and have asked our colleagues at Manchester Police to assist. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a white jumper, black jacket and black Adidas trainers.

"Think you know where Dani may be staying or know her current whereabouts? Please call 999 quoting log 1479 of 9 September."
