Police looking for man with 'Irish accent' after high value items stolen in Cramlington burglary

Police officers are trying to trace a man "with an Irish accent" after a number of valuable items were stolen in a burglary.

Officers investigating the burglary in Cramlington are now appealing for help.

At 8pm on Friday, police received a report of a break-in at a home on Gressingham Close.

It was reported that the home had been broken into via the back door and that a number of high value items had been stolen.

It is believed that a man with an Irish accent was in the area at the time of the incident and officers are now appealing to the man, or anyone who may know him, to come forward as he may be able to help with police inquiries.

The man, or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or has CCTV footage which may be able to assist officers, is asked to contact Northumbria Police and quote reference number 1183 07/02/20.

Alternatively you can report any information via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
