Chicago police are searching for a driver wanted in connection with a hit-and-run Friday in Back of the Yards on the South Side.
About 6:55 p.m., a red 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was driving north in the 4700 block of South Ashland Avenue when it struck a 39-year-old man who was crossing the street, Chicago police said.
He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said. The CPD Major Accident Investigation Unit was able to recover the vehicle, but has not found the driver.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information about the driver’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 312-745-4521.
