Police looked inside an abandoned, uninsured car in Morriston and found a stash of 'drugs' inside

A "large quantity" of drugs have been recovered from an abandoned car in Swansea .

PCSOs were called to the abandoned vehicle at 8.55am on Friday, October 18, in Heol Caerllion, Cwmrhydyceirw .

The car was found with a smashed window, with bags of an unknown substance under a seat.

The bags were found under the car's seat (South Wales Police)

The exact quantity of the substance is unknown. The vehicle has since been recovered and the drugs seized.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "PCSOs have attended a report of a car being left insecure with a smashed window in Heol Caerllion, Cwmrhydyceirw today at 8.55am.

"Bags were recovered from under the seat and both contained a large quantity of what appears to be small wraps of unknown drugs at present.

"Investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information should contact 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting occurrence 1900385300"
