Police lockdown Edinburgh street after woman rushed to hospital

Pictures have emerged of cops cordoning off an Edinburgh street this afternoon after a woman took unwell in a car park.

Police say they rushed to the incident at Ferry Road Avenue in the north of the capital at around 2.35pm on Monday April 12.

A woman was taken to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary, and police told Edinburgh Live that her condition is not yet known.

Cops are still working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding what happened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Edinburgh Live: "Around 2.35 pm on Monday, April 12, 2021, police and emergency services were called to assist a woman who appears to have taken unwell in a car park near Ferry Road Avenue, Edinburgh.

"The lady has been taken by ambulance to The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
