Two busy Highlands roads have been closed by police following crashes, with two people rushed to hospital.
The A99 at Lybster and the A87 near Kyle of Lochalsh have both been shut by cops due to road traffic incidents.
Motorists and members of the public have been urged to avoid both areas until emergency services have dealt with the crashes.
Diversions have been put in place on the A87 for drivers to follow.
A man and woman have been rushed to hospital following the two-vehicle crash on the A87 near Kyle of Lochalsh towards Balmacara.
The severity of their injuries are not known at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Sunday, 22 August, officers were called to the A87 near Kyle of Lochalsh, towards Balmacara, following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
"A man and a women were taken to hospital for treatment. The road is currently closed and emergency services remain at the scene.”
It is understood that two vehicles have been involved in the crash on the A99, but it is not known if there have been any injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.45pm on Sunday, 22 August, officers were called to the A99 at Occumster, following a report of a two-car road crash.
"The road is currently closed and diversions are in place. Emergency services remain at the scene."
