Police have locked down a Scots train station due to an ongoing disturbance.
Trains from Motherwell station are facing delays due to the incident.
There are reports someone was hit by a train.
Our sister title Glasgow Live reports how police were called to the scene around 8.37pm.
At present the nature of the incident is not clear.
Scotrail tweeted: “We've received reports of an ongoing incident in the Motherwell area.
“We're working closely with the emergency services at this time and will update you once we have more information from the grounds.
“Services via Motherwell are being delayed or altered as a result.”
Police Scotland, British Transport Police and Scotrail have been contacted for comment.
