Police lock down Scots street after racing to 'disturbance' as man arrested

A street in Argyll and Bute was locked down by police who arrested a man after a 'disturbance'.

Police, fire crews and paramedics were called to a property on Lady Mary Row at around 3pm on Saturday following an alleged 'disturbance' inside a house.

Multiple emergency services were pictured at the scene with fire hoses lying across the road near the Tesco Metro store.

A 31-year-old man has since been arrested by officers with the incident brought to a 'safe conclusion'.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were at the scene but could not comment further at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended a report of a disturbance at a property on Lady Mary Row, Campbeltown, around 3pm on Saturday, 5 June.

"A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection.

"The incident was contained and the public are thanked for their understanding while officers worked to bring this to a safe conclusion."
