Police have shut down a Scots road amid an ongoing incident at a river near Loch Lomond.

Officers were called to the scene at the A82 between Crianlarich and Ardlui at around 8.20pm this evening.

The Scottish Sun reports that a Coastguard helicopter was deployed to the scene earlier but is no longer there.

Scottish Fire and Rescue teams were also spotted in the area.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the scene while the road closure remains in place.

Cops currently remain in the area while enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
