Police lock down residential Glasgow street after reports of 'gunshots' fired at window

Forensic officers locked down a residential street after gunshots were fired.

Police were called to Stanalane Street in the Thornliebank area after shots were reportedly fired at a window around 11.30pm on Sunday, January 23.

Investigations into the incident are underway with forensic teams combing the area shortly after the incident was reported.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, it has been confirmed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a possible firearm being discharged in the Stanalane Street area of Glasgow around 11.30pm on Sunday, 23 January, 2022.

“No-one was injured and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
