ACT Policing has charged a 38-year-old Belconnen man with vehicle theft and other offences after his arrest in Macquarie.

At about 12pm on Wednesday, December 22 ACT Policing responded to reports of a stolen motorcycle in several Belconnen suburbs.

Police located the motorcycle in Coulter Drive, Macquarie, where it came to a stop a short time later.

Police allege that after the rider was arrested, subsequent searches located a gel blaster firearm, cannabis, Diazepam and a substance believed to be methylamphetamine.

He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday.
