Police launch urgent search for missing pensioner who may have been in car

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Scots pensioner believed to have disappeared with his car.

Concerns are growing for the welfare of 88-year-old John Sutherland from Wick, Caithness, who was last seen around 11am on Friday, November 11.

Police in Thurso made an appeal for help to trace John after he was reported missing in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He is believed to be in his vehicle grey Volkswagen Passat registration SY55BVS.

John is described as 5ft 7 in height, balding with a little white hair at the sides. When last seen he was wearing green/brown farm type trousers, a checked shirt with a green jumper, blazer jacket and black shoes.
