Police launch urgent appeal to trace missing 36-year-old Blackhall man Gareth Blundell

Police have launched an urgent appeal to locate a man who has gone missing from his County Durham home.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of 36-year-old Gareth Blundell who went missing from his home in Blackhall at around 3pm on Thursday.

Durham Constabulary has now issued an appeal with a description of Gareth in a bid to bring him home safely.

Gareth is described as white, of large build and with short, dark hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a grey Nike tracksuit bottoms, blue Reebok trainers and a blue Chelsea tracksuit top.

Gareth was believed to have been heading in the direction of Blackhall Rocks when he went missing,

Anyone with information that could help trace Gareth is urged to call 999.
