Police launch urgent appeal to find missing 'high risk' woman from Openshaw

Katrina McCarroll has since been found safe and well.

Police have launched an urgent appeal for help to find a missing woman from North East Manchester.

Katrina McCarroll has been described by police as "high risk" and has not been seen since Sunday, April 19.

The 37-year-old was last seen on Wheler Street, in Openshaw, at around 11am.

Police have said Katrina's family are growing increasingly concerned as it is out of character for her to go missing.

She is said to only know the Openshaw area and frequents the Lime Square shopping centre.

Katrina was last seen wearing a bikers t-shirt, black leggings, grey strappy sandals and a purple waterproof jacket.

She is 5ft 4ins tall, of large build, with long brown hair and she speaks with an Irish accent.

A statement on the Greater Manchester Police North Manchester Facebook page said: "High risk missing Katrina McCarroll, 37 years, was last seen Sunday April 19 on Wheler St, Openshaw.

"Family are really concerned about her as this is out of character for Katrina. "

Anyone with information over Katrina's whereabouts is asked to contact PC Helen McNeil Urgently on  0161 856 3921.
