Police launch urgent appeal for missing man who left hospital 'before staff could treat him'

Police have launched an urgent appeal for a missing man who left hospital 'before medical staff were able to treat him'.

Officers say they are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

He was last seen at around 5pm on Sunday walking towards the Darnton Road exit of Tameside General Hospital.

The man is believed to be Albanian and is described as being of medium build with dark brown hair and is aged between late 20s to early 30s.

He has a black eye and a head injury and was last seen wearing a light grey hoody, light grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers have released an image of a missing man whose welfare they are becoming increasingly concerned for after he left the hospital before medical staff were able to treat him.

"Officers are working hard to establish the identity of this man, but due to the injuries the man appears to have sustained, they are asking for the public’s help to trace him so they can make sure he is safe and well."
