Police launch urgent appeal after two dogs snatched from West Lothian kennel

Police in West Lothian have launched an urgent appeal after two dogs were snatched from their kennels in Broxburn.

Officers are now hunting for the animals after two people are said to have taken them on Sunday (7 March).

At around 7.50pm, a blue Mitsubishi 4x4 vehicle was seen to have broken into the grounds of Almondell Lodge, where the dogs were staying.

After arriving, two occupants got out of the car, before forcing their way into a shed and stealing two cocker spaniels.

An investigation is now underway to try and reunite the dogs with their owners, and find those responsible for the theft.

Today, police have appealed for any information regarding the incident and are searching for motorists with dashcams who may have been in the Almondell area on Sunday.

It is hoped that anyone with a dashcam may have captured images of the Mitsubishi which could assist officers in their enquiries.
