Police launch search for two teenagers missing from Lanarkshire village Plains

Police have launched a search for two teenagers reported missing from the Lanarkshire village of Plains.

16-year-olds Liam Kennedy and Courtney Semple were last seen in the Plains area at around 9pm last Thursday night.

Liam is described as 6’4”, white, short brown hair, slim build, while Courtney is described as 4’8”, with long brown hair.

Police are appealing to the public to come forward with information.

Lanarkshire Police Division said: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace two missing people, Liam Kennedy (male, aged 16) and Courtney Semple (female, aged 16).

"Liam and Courtney were last seen in the Plains area of North Lanarkshire around 2100hrs (9pm) on Thursday 14th January 2021.

"Liam is described as 6’4”, white, short brown hair, slim build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black zipper, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

"Courtney is descried as 4’8”, long brown hair. She was last seen wearing white trainers, white jacket and grey jeggings.

"It is believed Liam and Courtney are currently together.

"Anyone who may have seen Liam and/or Courtney since this time, or who has any information on their whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 and ask to speak to the Sergeants room at Airdrie Police Office.
