A missing Newcastle teenager has been found "fit and well", police have confirmed.
Kenny Mabuto, 13, did not return to his home in Bellshiel Grove on Saturday evening and wad reported missing.
Kenny texted a family member at around midday on Saturday to say he was shopping for Mother’s Day presents and would be home before 6pm.
The 13-year-old did not return home and his family are unable to reach him on his phone
In 2020, Kenny moved from Northampton and police believed he might have travelled to that area.
An appeal was put out to the public in a bid to locate the teen and on Tuesday, it was confirmed that he had been found.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "The missing teen has been located fit and well by police.
"Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal and helped us bring him home safely."
