Police launch search for missing Ayr man last seen on Thursday

Police have launched an appeal to trace a missing man from Ayr.

Robert Munro, 49, was last seen in the town's Wills Road.

He is described as white, around 5ft 9 inches tall with a slim build, short grey hair, clean shaven and he has tribal tattoos on both his hands.

Robert has family and friends in the South Ayrshire area such as Maybole, Ayr and Dailly however, he does travel around the whole of South Ayrshire.

He has also been known to travel throughout Scotland and to Ireland, North of England and London.

Inspector McColl, of Ayr Response, said: “Enquiries are underway to locate Robert.

“He normally visits his family everyday but has not been in contact with them since last Thursday the 30th of May and his family is understandably very concerned.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Robert or who has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Ayr Police via 101, quoting incident number 3627 of 02 June 2019.
