Police trace 18-year-old safe and well after going missing from Perth area

Police Scotland has confirmed that 18-year-old Sam Butler, who had been reported missing from the Perth area, has been traced safe and well.

Sam was last seen at around 6.15am today (Tuesday, May 18) in the village of Almondbank, around four miles North West of the city.

When last seen, he was wearing a dark green hoody, grey tracksuit bottoms and white Nike trainers.

Sam's family then called Tayside Police after concerns continued to grow.

But then a forces spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that 18-year-old Sam Butler, who had been reported missing from the Perth area, has been traced safe and well.

"We'd like to thank the public for their assistance."
